Dr. Armeniox uses a collaborative approach to assist you with managing symptoms, accomplishing goals, and expanding your repertoire of coping skills.
Caregiver’s become immersed in the care of a family member, friend, or client who is experiencing chronic illness, disabilities, and/or behavioral issues associated with an illness or injury. Often caregivers are helping others with illnesses that may worsen over time, such as dementia, heart disease, and cancer. Caring for others, even when you have support from family and professionals can be overwhelming and exhausting. This therapy group provides support, education, and a safe place to process your thoughts and feelings related to your role. Meeting with others who have similar struggles can be positive and validating. This group is private and confidential.
This group is for older adults who are maintaining or improving their health. It focuses on balance, coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular health, social connection, and emotional expression. You will move to music, starting in chairs and transitioning to moving around the room according to ability. Movement is fluid and dynamic, allowing you to embrace a range of qualities that improve body/mind integration and promote brain development. DMT has strong support from neuroscience research for brain health and longevity.
Dr. Armeniox also provides Life and Wellness Coaching. Coaches assist clients with goal-setting and creating habits that help them accomplish their goals. Coaches help you set realistic and achievable goals, design a plan to meet them, and then hold you accountable for the plans you make. Examples of reasons to choose coaching include weight loss, eating nutritiously, deciding on a career path or change, and co-parenting.
Creative Arts Counseling is beneficial when words are not enough. It’s often used for those who prefer alternatives to talking. This can include children, people with communication differences, and those who rely too much on words (overthinking) and can benefit from somatic and creative alternatives. Unlike an arts class, this work focuses on creative and emotional expression, trying something new or different, and exploring a range of activities to learn more about yourself.
Personal Growth Workshops are offered periodically and focus on a topic, such as communication, empowerment, and envisioning the future.
